Baptist St Rec Club sits above Island Radio in Redfern’s Wunderlich Lane, reimagining the Aussie pub experience through the lens of the late-80s & early-90s. Working with House Made Hospitality we created an interior that leans into nostalgia while remaining fresh and alive. Imagine warm wood panelling, exposed brick, a Trophy Room brimming with vintage sports trophies overhead, gig posters and a DJ booth for shifting moods. Whether you’re popping in for a quiet drink or staying late for live music, the space adapts, inviting you to sink into banquettes or hit the dance floor. Classic cocktails get playful updates, the snack menu nods to Thai-inspired pub favourites and the whole venue blends comfort with a touch of surprise. The result feels familiar yet unexpected, a venue that honours the past while embracing tonight.
