Island Radio is a South East Asian restaurant set within the Wunderlich Toga development, unfolding inside a split heritage and contemporary building in the heart of Sydney. It is a place designed around curiosity, movement and surprise. Working with House Made Hospitality, we imagined a space that feels alive, where each corner invites you to pause, explore and feel something new. The venue moves through four very different rooms, from the bright street front kiosk & the bold noodle bar to the vibrant dining room and the old bank chamber upstairs. Geometry, texture and colour carry the story from one space to the next. Terracotta, cork, recycled flocking and rich saturated tones bring warmth and rhythm, shifting with the light through the day. The result is a layered and generous interior that feels both familiar and unexpected, a space that celebrates discovery.
