Musson Chatswood is the second boutique for Musson Jewellers, set within Chatswood Chase on Sydney's North Shore. The store is the larger of the two Musson stores and demanded a design language that belonged to the same family as the QVB flagship while standing on its own. A sculptural staircase finished in highly reflective bronze paint and marmorino plaster by artisan Mark Stanford anchors the space and connects the two floors as a single sequence. The shopfront is screened by a bespoke aged brass grille, and a deliberately muted palette of terrazzo, marmorino and soft neutrals lets the jewellery carry the colour. The mezzanine holds the private consultation spaces, designed for intimacy and quiet.
